We were in Sydney last week (after being in coffs the week before where we had a little pre wedding photo shoot, stirling was really sick and jim had his bucks where apparently he did tequila suicides) we went and had a look at the hotel, a little dated but the view is amazing. I could imagine our guests on Friday night chilling at the window after their trip with a bottle of wine and watching the beautiful lights on the harbour, and luna park… the buffet looks promising for breakfast too. They have happy hour at the bar 530-7pm everyday. $4 for selected wine, beer and softdrinks.

We also checked out the pub across the road from the hotel. Billy Barrys is directly across the road from the front of hotel. We tried their $10 menu which was actually not bad. Jim had nachos which he said were good and I had chicken scnhitty with mashed spud and peppercorn gravy, we were both very full, for $10 each. Pity it was the same day that we were going to Sergeants Mess for our menu tasting.

Anyway, we have booked the function room at billy barrys from 6pm on the saturday. So everyone will have a couple of hours to explore/take a nap/watch the afl grandfinal after the wedding reception while we are out getting our photos, before its time to put your party shoes back on.

Also, we noticed that the pub has free popcorn after 5pm on fridays, if anyone is interested in a $10 pub feed and some free popcorn for the friday night.
